ACOA Announcement Friday August 2
It has just been confirmed: There will be an official announcement of the Community-Supported Education Director position at 2pm on Friday, August 2nd at the Sackville Town Hall. We have known about the position for some time, but the Atlantic Canadian Opportunities Agency (ACOA) along with the Mayor of Sackville, the Chair of Sackville 20/20 and various representatives from the Provincial and Federal governments will be making an official announcement about the Community-Supported Education Director position tomorrow.
With this official announcement taking now place, we have decided to extend the deadline for applications until midnight on Friday, August 9th. We have already received a number of very strong applications and the prospect of having someone working with Sackville 20/20 and our community in this capacity is very exciting indeed. There’s lots to look forward to in the next few years!

Community-Supported Education Coordinator
Sackville 20/20 is seeking an exceptional candidate to work with our Board as a Community-Supported Education Coordinator. As part of the full-time, 2-year term, the Coordinator will work closely with Sackville 20/20 as well as learners, educators and community partners to further implement and consolidate a vision of Sackville, NB, as a nationally significant integrated educational community. This position is supported by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
During the next two years, the Coordinator’s responsibilities will include:
establishing a community asset map,
tracking engagement and collecting relevant data,
establishing and building on community partnerships and connections,
working with diverse stakeholders to create and implement strategic plans,
bringing stakeholders and community members together to further the vision of Sackville as an integrated educational community model in line with 21st Century educational values.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven ability to do the job outlined in the DESCRIPTION, will flourish and be creative in independent work, bring strength and innovation to team-based work, be capable of building and maintaining good relationships with community partners, and have a clear understanding, commitment and passion in working towards Sackville 20/20’s vision. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills are essential.
